Coaching People Living with HIV
Danny West is a trainer, coach, and leadership consultant, has been living with HIV for the past 24 years, and remains healthy today. Coaching initially attracted him because he found it an empowering way to lead his own life. He has his own coach. Coaching focuses on empowering, enabling, and supporting people to reach their fullest potential. It helps people identify what they really want in their lives and then to âgo for it.â Coaching is about goals: identifying a goal, and then breaking it down and achieving it in manageable chunks. Itâs a positive process about moving forward. Itâs about the here and now and the future, not about past mistakes. Itâs a fantastic tool for working with people living with HIV. It helps people maintain the momentum of motivation. People can use it to manage their lives, relationships, and finances, among other things.
